For an editorial project for Vogue the aim was to shape a calm yet bold look that blends clean studio shots of lipsticks with small and vivid personal stories from the women who use them, and the task was to craft a soft warm visual tone that feels close to real life while still holding the clear sense of style that defines Vogue at large, so we set out to build a lean bright mix of light color and text that lets each face each shade and each voice stand with ease and truth, and we began by doing a fresh mood scan across print film and social fields to see how beauty is shown today, drawing from matte reds soft skin tones and tiny marks of use that give each hue its own quiet soul, and from there we shaped a clear design flow.
